9-Line MEDEVAC Placard
Put your most important radio call format up front where it counts. Made from UV and Heat stable material, the 9-Line MEDEVAC Placard will not fade, warp, or mar. This is NOT your typical laser printed/laminated sticker. It takes over 5 mintutes to laser etch each placard from the toughest material available. You can be sure that once this is installed, it will be readable if the time comes to make that call. Back is pre-coated with ADA Adhesive for permanant installation on any surface. Made of .005" thin flexible material to mount on irregular surfaces. Tested against abrasion and heat resistance for 2 hours at 225 degrees fahrenheit with no degradation in durability or scratch resistance. See statement below for more information.
Material adhesive information:
Placards are backed with a 1.5 mil (.0015"), acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive designed for industrial applications. The adhesive has excellent exterior properties and resistance to water, solvents and extreme temperatures. It bonds extremely well to metals, plastics, rubbers and foams. The adhesive has good initial tack, and fully sets up over 72 hours.
Typical applications in which this adhesive is used include: nameplates, electronics, appliances, recreational vehicles, computers, packaging, aviation and automotive.
Placard Durability and Weatherability information:
Material surface durability is about twelve times greater than that of a conventional microsurfaced engraving plastic. On an RCA Taber Abrader CS17 set at 500 gm, there was no wear through to the substrate after a minimum of 70 cycles.
Placards and their adhesive withstand high temperatures, up to 250˚F (121˚C) for intermittent and 200˚F (93˚C) for coninuous use. In specific applications they have been successful at considerably higher temperatures.
